The Big Event wants to help you. We aim to give back to local communities through one large day of service. We want to give thanks to Lincoln this spring by volunteering at 250 private residences. Previously, private residences have had volunteers rake their yard, clean garages and basements, paint fences, and plant trees and flowers.
The Big Event will be held on April 13, 2013 from 9:00 a.m.-1:00p.m. The Big Event can supply tools such as rakes, shovels and paint brushes if needed. Private Residences will be given 3-6 volunteers, depending on the requested jobs.

We Can:
- Paint exterior and interior of buildings
- Rake yards, trim bushes
- Plant trees or flowers
- Trash pick-up
- 1st story window cleaning
- Interior house clean-up
- Clean up gardens
We Can’t:
- Use electrical equipment
- Plumbing or electrical work
- Heating or air conditioning
- Handle asbestos
- Work with lead paint or be exposed to toxic materials
