Since its introduction in 2006, The Big Event at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln has become the largest, one-day, student-run service project in the state of Nebraska. The Big Event promotes campus and community unity as thousands of UNL students come together to say “Thank You” and express gratitude to the residents and nonprofits of Lincoln and Lancaster County.

Filling out this form does not guarantee your request for volunteers will be fulfilled. The Big Event team will do their best to staff each request, but volunteers are limited due to a large number of requests.
Nonprofit organizations and private residences can submit an project for UNL students, staff, and faculty to assist you on May 4, 2024 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Projects can range from one to three hours and must be an in-person volunteer opportunity.
