The Big Event wants to help you. We aim to give back to local communities through one large day of service. The Big Event wants to give thanks to Lincoln this spring by volunteering at over 150 community organizations. Previously, community organizations have had volunteers perform basic landscaping, clean neighborhood parks, clean warehouses, paint and other tasks.
The Big Event will be held on April 13, 2013 from 9:00 a.m.-1:00p.m. The Big Event can supply tools such as rakes, shovels and paintbrushes if needed. Community Organizations will be granted 5-50 volunteers per job request. If there are any questions or concerns, please e-mail thebigevent.unl@gmail.com or call 472-8921.

We Can:
- Paint exterior and interior of buildings
- Rake yards, trim bushes
- Plant trees or flowers
- Trash pick-up
- Window cleaning
- Interior building clean-up
- Clean up gardens
We Can’t:
- Use electrical equipment
- Plumbing or electrical work
- Heating or air conditioning
- Handle asbestos
- Work with lead paint or exposed to toxic materials
